Position:
Design Draftsman
Description:
 | The Design Draftsman is responsible for the design of
project specific tooling and hardware. |
| The Design Draftsman is responsible for generating
drawings to illustrate subsea project procedures and installation vessel
spread configurations. |
| This position reports to the Project Engineer, Subsea
Project Group in Houston Texas. |
Duties and Responsibilities:
| Attend meetings with the Project Engineer and operations
personnel to develop methods and procedures for conducting the project scope
of work |
| Work in support of the Project Engineer designing
project specific tooling and hardware |
| Willing to travel to docks and yards to obtain
information and dimensioning for designing tooling and hardware |
| Generate project specific drawings that illustrate the
methods and procedures developed to perform the scope of work |
| Ensure project design and drafting documentation
deliverables are delivered on time, on budget and meets the specifications
outlined in the contract |
| Assist other Phoenix divisions with technical skills as
required |
Requirements:
| 5 years experience in Cad, SolidWorks or similar 3D
solid modeling software in design of subsea tooling and hardware |
| Proficient with dimensioning, plotting, scale factors |
| Working knowledge of subsea construction projects is
preferred |
| Requires familiarity with fabrication processes
including welding, cutting, drill press, milling machine, CNC and lathe |
| Must be willing and physically able to support field
operations, inland and offshore, including climbing ladders, being lifted by
man-lift type equipment, able to hold own body weight and carrying/lifting
40lbs |
