Phoenix provides specialized diving capabilities to the US Navy and to industries associated with ships and ship repair, offshore energy, and salvage.

Diving services extend to water depth of 365 meters using surface supplied air, mixed gas, saturation, or one-atmosphere diving system capabilities.

Experienced welder / divers perform in-water ship repairs using wet and dry chamber techniques.  The development and qualification of US Navy and ABS certified underwater welding procedures allows Phoenix to perform repairs on a variety of base metals ranging from mild steel to HY 80.  All underwater welding repairs are non-destructively inspected by certified inspectors.  Phoenix personnel maintain Level II NDT inspection certification.

Hull and underwater structure inspections include paint, metal thickness, and weld integrity measurements using diver and automated techniques (HULLSCAN^Ò).  Inspections are optically (photography and/or video) documented and conducted under a formal QA/QC program.

A multi-disciplinary engineering group including licensed professional engineers supports Phoenix welder / diver requirements.
