Position:
Project Engineer
Description:
 | Apply engineering knowledge, tools and techniques, as
well as technical and interpersonal skills, to generate engineering
documentation to substantiate subsea project procedures and hardware design |
 | Generate engineering manuals for project specific
applications |
 | This position reports to the General Manager, Subsea
Projects Group. |
Duties and Responsibilities:
 | Attend meetings with the Project Manager and Operations
personnel to develop methods and procedures for conducting the project scope
of work |
 | The Project Engineer will work in support of the Project
Manager in generating engineering documentation that meets or exceeds the
contract requirements and specifications |
 | The Project Engineer is responsible for producing all
the engineering documentation required to validate the project procedures
and/or hardware designs. Documentation may be generated by the Project
Engineer or by his/her management of third parties contracted to provide
specific scopes of engineering work. |
 | Attend, and at times lead, project meetings and
workshops |
 | Ensure the project engineering documentation and
deliverables are delivered on time, on budget, and meets the specifications
outlined in the contract |
 | Ensure engineering compliance with company and
Customer’s Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies,
procedures and reporting requirements |
 | Attend and participate in risk assessment, peer reviews
and operations reviews with the project team and Client |
 | Assist with bids and proposals as required |
Requirements:
 | Five to ten years of experience in offshore construction
activities |
 | Bachelor’s degree in engineering or marine related field |
 | Working knowledge of financial management, including
cost control, project budgets and estimating |
 | Supervise the work of draftsman |
 | Possess sound verbal and written communication skills |
 | Experience with diving and ROV operations preferred |
 | Licensed Professional Engineer preferred |
 | Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Project Excel,
AutoCAD and Solidworks |
 | Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal
effectively in a team environment |
 | Must be willing and physically able to support field
operations, inland and offshore, including climbing ladders, personnel
transfer at sea, able to hold you own body weight and carrying/lifting 40lbs |
 | Assist other Phoenix divisions with technical skills as
required |
