Phoenix maintains the expertise and equipment to rig and recover objects from water depths to 6000m using a variety of lift techniques.  Depending on circumstance, an object is rigged for recovery by diver or ROV and then lifted using ROV manipulators, through-the-ROV-frame lifts, or by direct means from the surface.  Phoenix engineers have a demonstrated capability to design project specific recovery structures and techniques as demonstrated on the USS Monitor program.

Phoenix has recovered objects ranging from aircraft black boxes to a 3636 kg (8000 lbs.) section of a submarine conning tower from 2927 msw.

Deepwater recovery equipment includes a heavy lift winch, Dyneema lift line, and a Dynacon motion compensation system.
