PHOENIX AWARDED FIVE YEAR NAVY CONTRACT

Friday, September 22, 2006 -- Washington, DC -- Phoenix International, Inc., (Phoenix) announced today the award of the Undersea Operations contract to provide the US Navy with worldwide underwater search, recovery, engineering, and technical services. The selection marks the company’s succession as the prime contractor for this five year indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity, cost plus award fee effort.

Under the contract, Phoenix operates and maintains US Navy sonar search systems, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), their related surface support equipment, navigation / positioning systems, as well as data management / data analysis systems for the Supervisor of Salvage and Diving (SUPSALV). Phoenix will continue to provide diverse engineering services to support operations, and for the modification and upgrade of Navy equipment. Phoenix will also provide operations personnel, as well as its commercial sonar and ROV systems, to support worldwide underwater search and recovery operations in water depths to 20,000 feet. Missions have included search and location of debris from the SHUTTLE COLUMBIA, and the recovery of lost aircraft to assist crash investigation teams.
