Phoenix holds the 5-year US Navy (Supervisor of Diving and Salvage) worldwide Undersea Operations contract to maintain all US Navy equipment needed to search, locate, and recover objects in water depths to 6000m.  Phoenix is responsible for maintaining the equipment in Ready for Issue (RFI) status on an around-the-clock basis, and sustaining the capability to mobilize and operate the systems from a ship of opportunity anywhere in the world.  After receiving Navy approvals, Phoenix engineers are responsible for design upgrades, as well as review and approval of all modifications to these systems.

As part of the Undersea Operations contract, Phoenix will also operate and maintain the US Navy's future submarine rescue capability, the Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System (SRDRS).
