For Immediate Release – October 7, 2023

Celia Morris has provided mechanical design and documentation services for multiple quick turn projects for various Phoenix business units with dedication and extensive hours to get the jobs done to meet project time requirements. These include design and fabrication documentation for both the Port and Starboard side Propulsion Shaft Stern Tube Cofferdams in support of GRP repairs on the EX USS PAUL-F FOSTER for the Diving Services welder/diver team working in Port Hueneme, CA. These cofferdams were up to 30 feet long, 6 feet tall and 9 feet wide. Additional Diving Services support work was performed for the LCS-2V T-Max Rudder Removal and Replacement Rigging process documentation. Design and fabrication were performed in June through July with delivery of both cofferdams to the vessel in early September for currently ongoing repairs.

Celia also generated three deck layouts and two truck loadout drawings for Undersea Operations and Commercial Operations groups in support of Titan submersible search and recovery using Remora III and 30kip FADOSS systems on MV GARY CHOUEST and the TPL system, DT240 tow winch and HPU on board the MV TY WOODS for the Twin Otter search.

During Q3 Celia also supported two Phoenix Houston Oil and Gas operations by generating equipment installation drawings and rigging plans for the Genesis Ship Shoal 332A Platform Riser Guard Recovery from -230 feet. She also completed deck installation drawings for the diver LARS, decompression chamber and inspection and cleaning equipment placements on the East and West faces of the Quarter North Energy Thunderhawk platform. Additionally, Celia created the design and fabrication documentation for a cable spool support stand for the upcoming OE35 wave energy buoy deployment at the Hawaii Wave Energy Test Site (WETS) 60- meter berth.

Thank you, Celia, for your continued dedication to complete critical projects on accelerated time frames and working extra hours while maintaining a can-do attitude throughout the exercises. Your dedication is recognized across the company as indicated by the number of business units your work supports including Largo, Houston, Bayou Vista and San Diego Diving Services and the Hawaii commercial operations groups. Celia is chosen to be our Largo Employee of the 3rd Quarter.

Well done Celia!
